Hi, we’re Paul and Monique Fenton, welcome to our website, your go-to destination for top quality bespoke gas and wood fireplace solutions in the Coromandel.
We have over 50 years’ combined experience in the fireplace and heating industry so you can rest assured that you’ll receive the highest level of customer service and products on the market today.
Our ‘spark’ was ignited when we met then subsequently wed whilst working for a gas fireplace company in Auckland. We’ve been happily married for 16 years and have a 20 year old daughter. One half of our team started in the heating industry in 1993 as a 19 year old and recently left the same company after 30 years of service, so there is a strong history of customer service and knowledge. The ‘other half’ served that same company for just over 20 years as Sales Manager, selling gas fires into thousands of homes and commercial spaces including bars and restaurants, to working with interior designers, architects and builders to ensure clients heating requirements were met.
Circumstances prevailed and in early 2023 we decided to make the move to Whangamata and our ‘forever’ home. This is where the idea for Cosy Fires was ‘ignited’.
Outside of work we love fishing, paddle-boarding, keeping fit, reading, pottering in the garden and spending quality time with loved ones.
